We Believe…

THE HOLY BIBLE

It is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

THE TRINITY

We Believe as is evidenced in God’s Holy Word, from Genesis to Revelation that there is one living and true God, and there are three persons in the Godhead. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. They co-exist and are co-equal. (Genesis 1:1) (John 1:1-3) (Gen. 1:26) (Deut. 6:4) (Luke 1:35) (Matt. 3:16,17) (John 1:32-34) (Heb. 3:7-11, 14)

SANCTIFICATION

The word “Sanctify” means to “Set Apart”. We believe “Sanctification” is the means whereby a person is separated from sin and dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit which enables and empowers one to live a Holy life before God and man. This process begins when a person is “saved” (Born Again) and will continue throughout the lifetime of the Believer as they become more and more Christ like.  (John 17: 16,17) (Rom. 12:1,2) (Rom 15:16)  (Gal. 5:22,23) (Ephes. 5:25-27) (2 Peter 3:18) (2 Cor. 6:14-17)

JESUS CHRIST

We Believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God the Father. He is God the Son, manifested in the flesh. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross, shedding His blood for the sins of humanity, that we might be saved. He rose from the dead on the third day, ascended up into heaven and sits on the right hand side of the Father, and will return again, a second time, in Power and Great Glory. Whosoever confesses and believes in Him shall be saved!  Faith in Him, is the only way to receive salvation. (John 1:1) (Isaiah 9:6) (Matthew 1:20-25) ) (John 3:16) (Heb. 1:3) (Rom. 10:9-11,13)

SALVATION

We Believe that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.  Salvation is deliverance from sin and its consequences which is brought about by Faith in Jesus Christ. We have been Redeemed, Purchased and Justified by the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed on the cross for our sins. Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation, it is His will that all men would be saved. Salvation is not merited, but is by “Grace through Faith, not of works...” It is God’s greatest gift to humanity. (Rom.3:23) (Rom 5:1,2) (Rom. 5:8-10) (Rom. 5:12-21)(Rom. 10:9,13) (Acts 16:31) (1 Pet. 3:18) (Acts 4:12) (John 14:6) (1 Tim. 2:5,6) (Eph. 2:8,9)

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the promise to all Believers, sent by Jesus, after His ascension, to enable and empower the church to preach the Gospel effectively throughout the whole world. This Baptism is evidenced by producing Fruits and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. This experience of Grace is invaluable in the life of a Born Again Christian. (Joel 2:28,29) (Acts 1:8) (Acts 2:1-4) (Acts 2:38,39) (Acts 8:14-17) (Acts 10: 38,39 44-47) (Acts 19:1-6) (Mark 16:17)

THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the Glorifying of God, edifying the church, and terrifying the devil. These gifts are for the church today just as they were for the early church. They are distributed by the Holy Spirit as He wills. These Gifts are diversified, or varied in nature, but come from the same Spirit. They are named in the Holy Word and according to the scripture should be earnestly sought for by all believers. (1 Cor. 12:1-14) (1 Cor. 14) (John 15:26) (Rom 12:4-8) (Eph. 4:6-8)

DIVINE HEALING

We believe in doctors and medicines. However, we know that there is a healing power that comes through faith in the Person and work of Jesus on the cross at Calvary. It is a Gift of the Spirit and when in operation, it is a sign of them that believe. (Ps. 103:3)(Isaiah 53:5) (James 5:14-16) (Math. 8:16,17) (1 Cor. 12:9)

SECOND COMING

Scripture testifies to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We believe just as He arose from the dead and ascended, He will come again, a second time, in person, and in bodily form. At that time there will be a Resurrection of the dead in Christ, and all those who remain will be caught up together in the air to be with our Lord forevermore. His Second Coming will usher in the Millennial Reign, the time of Judgment, followed by a New Heaven and a New Earth (Matt. 24:30)(Rev.1:7) (Rev.11:15) (1 Thess. 4:15-17) (2 Thess. 1:7,8)

ETERNAL LIFE and ETERNAL PUNISHMENT

We believe that the Believer, one who has put their trust in Jesus Christ through Faith in Him, will live forever in the presence of Almighty God and experience the unending Joy and Peace of God’s Grace in the new heaven and new earth. We also believe the Lost, the Unbeliever, will be judged by God according to his deeds and will spend Eternity in Hell. (Matt. 5:3) (Math 5:12) Math: 6:20) (Mark 9:43-48) (John 17:24) (1 Thess. 4:13-18) (Math 25:34-46) (Heb. 9:27) (Rev.14:9-11) (Rev 14:9-11) (Rev. 20:12-15) (Rev.21:8)

WATER BAPTISM and THE LORDS SUPPER

We believe that Water Baptism is an outward public testimony of an inward change. The person being baptized must be Born Again. Then the Word of God commands the believer to be baptized in water in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.

The Lord’s Supper, also known as Communion, is done in remembrance of His death on the cross. In remembrance of His death we partake of the elements, Juice and Bread, as we thoughtfully consider His sacrifice on the cross. We believe the Bible teaches that one should be Born Again to participate in this ordinance so as to not take of it “unworthily”. (Math. 26:26-29) (Math. 28:19) (Acts 2:38) (Acts 8:12, 36-38) (Mark 16:16) (1 Cor. 11:23-25) (1 Cor. 10:16)

MARRIAGE

Marriage has only one meaning, and that is, marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as defined in scripture. (Gen 2:24) (Lev. 18:22) (Math. 19:4-6) (Eph. 5:31-33) (Heb. 13:4)
